Craig Voligny (b.1974, Michigan, USA) received a Master of Fine Arts(MFA) from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Fine Arts(BFA) from the Columbus College of Art and Design. He has lived and worked mostly between Alaska and China for the past 20 years, spending each year divided between the two. In 2010/11 he was the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship which he utilized snorkeling over the Kenting Coral Reef of Taiwan for 10 months; that experience later materialized as an exhibit at the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium of Taiwan. He has also exhibited at the Arkansas Arts Center (state museum) and the North Carolina Arboretum’s Baker Exhibition Center. Craig has held more than 10 solo exhibitions across China, Taiwan and the United States as well as participated in more than 30 juried exhibitions. He currently lives and works in Zhuhai, China where he is an Assistant Professor of Art & Design at United International College, Beijing Normal University / Hong Kong Baptist University. He spends each summer on the water in Alaska where he owns and operates a commercial salmon fishing operation.
